Opening a bank account - evidence of NZ address
To open a New Zealand bank account, you will need evidence of your address in New Zealand.
For this purpose, you can use the invoice sent to you from Lincoln University after your tuition fees were paid. If your address on this invoice is your overseas address, please make sure that you have added a NZ (mailing) address on LUCAS, keeping your (permanent) overseas address there also. Then, send an email to studentfinance@lincoln.ac.nz asking for a new, receipted invoice to be sent to you that shows your NZ mailing address.
You will also need your passport and your student ID; plus any other documentation the individual banks require.
Students living on campus in accommodation/halls can request a proof of address letter from the Accommodation office.
