Semester 1 Orientation
Save the dates: 9 to 17 February 2026
Orientation is your chance to get prepared, meet new people, and feel supported as you begin your studies. Attend compulsory orientation events, such as your faculty Rā Whakawhanaukataka | Orientation Day and International Student Orientation, to ensure you’re ready to start your Lincoln University journey.
Whether you're an undergraduate, postgraduate taught, research student, or pursuing a diploma or certificate, we’ve got you covered. Whānau and friends are welcome to support you as you start this exciting journey.
You are only required to attend the orientation activities that are specific to you. See the detailed uni-wide activity calendar below.

Step 2: Mark your calendar
A 'Full Uni-Wide Orientation Calendar' will be available in January 2026. It provides a comprehensive schedule of all faculty-specific events and university-wide sessions, including enrolment help, course and timetable support, IT help, campus tours, and the Mihi Whakatau. The calendar will be colour-coded to help you easily identify your faculty and the tailored events for your cohorts.
Watch this space and save the dates to make a plan to attend your compulsory sessions. Whānau, family, and friends are welcome to join you to provide support.
Step 3: Register for compulsory events
Registration is required for these compulsory events. Eligible students will receive an email with their registration link in January, and links will also be available on this page.
