Who we support
We welcome and support all students — domestic and international, undergraduate and postgraduate — who experience a disability, chronic illness, injury or neurodiversity.
If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please do not hesitate to get in touch — we are happy to talk it through.
When to get in touch
You can contact us at any stage — before you arrive on campus, during enrolment, or any time throughout your studies. The earlier you reach out, the sooner we can work with you to ensure the right support is in place.
How we work with you
Support is tailored to your individual needs and learning context. Our approach is respectful and confidential. Your support arrangements will not appear on your academic transcript or qualification.
Parents and whānau
We understand that starting university can be a big step — not just for students, but for their families too. If you are a parent, caregiver or whānau member supporting a student, you are very welcome to join discussions (with the student’s consent). We value your role and are happy to answer your questions.

Disability Action Plan
The Disability Action Plan is an important part of the University's commitment to equity of access for all learners. It focuses on creating an inclusive and accessible environment that enables disabled tauira to participate in all aspects of learning and research including cultural, social, on-campus accommodation, and extra-curricular activities.
