The main aims of this course are:
- To gain an understanding of the techniques of landscape description, analysis and evaluation.
- The application of this knowledge to landscape change and landscape design.

What you will learn
After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:
- Appraise the landscape through the lens of the physical, associative, and sensory attributes.
- Assess landscape characteristics that inform site-appropriate design response.
- Produce analytical and design ideas.
- Develop a design response that responds to community values.
- Apply Māori and indigenous concepts in a design proposal.
