International Scholarships
We offer many scholarships to international students, to help grow their opportunities and potential.
Scholarships are typically based on the academic achievements and abilities you have demonstrated so far.
However, you can also receive a scholarship based on your personal qualities, financial need, country of residence and chosen programme of study.
International Flagship Scholarships
Any student who successfully completes a minimum of 12 weeks of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) will receive a fees rebate award when they enrol in the next academic programme.
Scholarships valued at NZ$2,500 are available for new students seeking admission into the Pathway Certificate (Foundation) or First Year Pathway Diploma programmes. To be eligible for a scholarship, students need to meet academic and English requirements.

Scholarships valued at NZ$3,000 are available for new students who are studying undergraduate programmes. To be eligible for a scholarship, students must meet academic and English requirements

Scholarships valued at NZ$5,000 are available for new students who are studying Bachelor’s degree programmes. To be eligible for a scholarship, students must meet academic and English requirements.

A scholarship valued at NZ$10,000 each are available, and are payable by way of a credit to the recipients’ Lincoln University Tuition Fees account, upon confirmation of enrolment in one of Lincoln University’s undergraduate bachelor programmes.

Qualifying international students will be awarded a scholarship towards their taught master’s programme. No separate application is required. Lincoln will assess and offer this scholarship automatically.
(Available only for students enrolling in a full taught master’s programme.)
NZ$15,000 – for students with A average in the final year of a bachelor’s degree:

NZ$10,000 – for students with B+ average in the final year of a bachelor’s degree:

NZ$7,000 – for students with B+ average in the final year of a bachelor’s degree:
- Master of Artificial Intelligence for Land Use
- Master of Applied Computing
- Master of Bio-protection
- Master of Environment and Agriculture
- Master of Environmental Policy & Management
- Master of International Nature Conservation
- Master of Landscape Architecture (240 credits)
- Master of Natural Resources Management and Ecological Engineering
- Master of Planning (240 credits)
- Master of Precision Agriculture
- Master of Science in Food Innovation
Other scholarships
In addition to Lincoln University scholarships, there are also other scholarships for students studying specific programmes or from specific countries. These scholarships vary in value.
China Scholarship Council (CSC) PhD Scholarships
Chinese postgraduate students are invited to apply for full-time PhD study at the Lincoln University. China Scholarship Council (CSC) PhD scholarships are for a period of up to four years of study.
